Here are some terms you must know
- Freight Consolidation
- This is a logistics strategy where a shipper combines multiple shipment within a particular geographic region into a single shipment container and the combines packages will then be transported as a single unit which attracts less shipment fees. Upon arrival the container is then disintergrated into individual packages and handed over to the owners. It like a group scheme shipping in that the package owners share the expenses encountered during shipping process.
- Freight Forwarding
- Freight simply means a package or lagguage. Freight forwarding is an act of sending a package or parcel or lagguage some where. This can be locally or internationally.
- Customs Clearance
- Customs clearance refers to the act of following all the procedure that must be taken when importing or exporting your package in a given country. All rules and laws must be adhered to when doing customs clearance.
